Diablo 4 crossplay is a feature that players are hoping for and, let's be honest, expect to see, as this is increasingly becoming the norm for games in this genre. Cross platform play would help to unite adventurers over the five release formats, and we all know that slashing through hordes of enemies then taking down a boss in Diablo 4 will be much more enjoyable when fighting alongside friends. Thankfully, crossplay is included as standard so you can connect with those on other systems, and if you know how to access the Diablo 4 beta then there's still chance to give this a go during the open beta weekend – you might even be able to convince some friends to join you for it. If you're looking for details on Diablo 4 crossplay, cross progression, and couch co-op, then here's everything you need to know.
Does Diablo 4 have crossplay
If you're hoping for Diablo 4 crossplay then there's good news, as it's completely supported across all platforms, in both the beta and the full game. This means that players on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, and Xbox One can all team up together, and as long as you're friends on Battle.net then you should easily be able to join each other in the game – though you'll need to ensure that you're connected to the same server first.
Diablo 4 cross progression is also available, so you can carry your progress across multiple platforms as long as your Battle.net account is attached to them. This means that you can easily move between PS4 and PS5, or Xbox One and Xbox Series X, but bear in mind that if you want to switch between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms then you'll need to purchase a version of the game on each one as that entitlement doesn't carry across.
Does Diablo 4 have couch co-op
Diablo 4 couch co-op is another feature included in the game and supported by the beta on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, so you can hack and slash your way through dungeons with a buddy in couch co-op. You only need one copy of Diablo 4 to do this, though each player will require their own Battle.net account to join the session, so why not download the Diablo 4 beta and try it out for yourself? Unfortunately this local co-op option is not available for PC players, due to technical issues preventing two Battle.net accounts being signed in at the same time on the same computer.
